The environment was a buzz with riders and their families enjoying the Ducati's in the show, parked in groups and riding in and out all day long. If that wasn’t enough there was Sumerians finest brews and locally sourced Brats on the freshest rolls you could ever hope for and the retail booths setup by Ducati of Bellevue and Seattle where offering for sale souvenir hats, helmets and more! Inside Sumerian Brewing the club was broadcasting live from Europe the Moto GP race on a wall the size of the drive in theaters of old while serving free Dominos Pizza's and soda at noon to all in attendance.
The highlight of the day is the Ducati Concours show, with over 30 Ducati's entered they ranged from vintage to open/modified class and everything in-between, these included a few well cared for daily riders to museum piece's that were enjoyed by all. The contestants where competing for bragging rights, trophies, money and prizes from the event sponsors which of course get a big shout out right here: Gold sponsors were Sumerian Brewing Co. and Ducati Bellevue, with Ducati Seattle, Lamborghini Bellevue and Domino's Pizza of Woodinville stepping up as Silver sponsors. The sponsors also provided items for free drawings; caps, shirts, iPhone cases and the list goes on, thanks to the generosity of the club and local sponsors admission is free and will continue to be in 2017. Don’t worry, if you missed this year's festival as DESMO Northwest, Ducati Redmond and Sumerian Brewing are planning a weekend (2 days!) festival next year, details to come and information will be posted at www.DucatiNorthwest.com, official event website as it evolves.
July 17th, 2016 ~ Woodinville, WA. ~ The Pacific Northwest Ducati club, known officially as "DESMO Northwest" has a yearly tradition of coming together and not only celebrating their love and passion for Ducati's but for all things Italian!
This year's 2016 Ducati Day and Concours was no different! Held annually you could find representation from every Italian marque, from two wheeled Ducati's and Moto Guzzi's to four wheeled Lamborghinis, Ferrari's and Alfa Romeo's! But it didn’t stop there, Shelby Cobra's, Corvettes, Mustangs, and classic hot rods where sprinkled upon the landscape at Sumerian Brewing Company in Woodinville, Washington where the Annual event is hosted. Frankly, if it was rare, loud or fast, it was probably there, 2 or 4 wheeled, European, Asian or American!
